VIDEO ENCODING HUB

Cookie Policy

This policy explains how the portal uses cookies and related browser storage. The short version: there is one local preference, and there is no tracking.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small piece of data a site asks your browser to store, and which the browser may return on later requests. Related technologies, such as local storage, let a page keep a value in the browser without attaching it to every request. Both are commonly used for sessions, preferences and tracking. This site uses only the preference type.

What this site stores

That is the only entry the site writes. It holds no identifier, no timestamp of your visit beyond the act of acceptance, and no information about what you read. Because it is never transmitted, it cannot be used to identify you to us.

What this site does not do

We do not set advertising cookies. We do not use analytics cookies that report your visit to a third party. We do not embed external fonts, external scripts or external images, which means no third-party server is contacted when you load a page here. There is no social media widget, no comment system and no embedded video from another host.

Why we can operate this way

The site is built as a set of static pages with a stylesheet and one small local script. Everything needed to display a page is stored on the same server that serves it. That design is deliberate: it makes the site faster, more private and easier to audit. A reader can inspect the page source and see that nothing else is requested.

Managing storage

You can clear the stored preference at any time through your browser's settings, under the site data or storage section. Clearing it makes the cookie notice appear again on your next visit. You can also block storage entirely; the site will continue to work, and the notice will reappear on each visit. Blocking storage does not affect access to any content.

Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard request logs for security and reliability, as described in the Privacy Policy. These logs are generated by the server rather than by scripts in your browser, and they are not cookies.

Changes and contact

If we ever add a storage entry, this table will be updated before the change takes effect and the effective date will change. Questions go to [email protected], or by post to Northline Media Engineering LLC, 1420 Harbor Point Drive, Suite 210, Portland, OR 97209.
